This question bothers mankind even time immemorial. Indian Rishi's prayed
"Asatho Ma Sathgamaya. Thamaso Ma Jyothirgamaya. Mruthyorma Amrthangamya"
Lead me from fasle to truth, from darkness to light, from deat to life.
While most of the religious teachings are not very clear about what happens after death, Bible tells it very clearly - There is Life after Death, Eternal.
Jesus Christ said -
"I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:
And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die, Believest thou this
Jesus proved this through His death and His resurrection.
Bible tells of an end to the world and all the dead shall resurrect - Some (who believed in Jesus Christ) for eternal life and others for eternal Damnation.
"And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works........
And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire"
